This little book is a great stress reliever and blood pressure lowering device. For two hours or so, you find yourself in a different world where cokes were a nickel, ice cream cones and Hershey bars were a nickel, and movie tickets were a dime.
Buddy can be read from front to back like a novella, or you can pick out adventures at random, because each is written as a stand alone story. However, if you read it straight through, you sort of follow Buddy as he grows up.

This is the premise of Liam Corbett’s new novel entitled THE PARIS CONNECTION. Titus Coppard and the revolutionists have had it with over-regulation and government encroachment into their private lives. An exodus to eighteen Western States by these like-minded people ensues, and they secede from the Union to form the new “Free States of North America.” A civil war develops when the “Old United States” declares war on the Free States. A civil war that is fought with computers instead of guns and bombs. The old United States is taken by surprise, however, and is put back to a pre-1900 life-style when the Free State’ers unleash their secret weapon.
COULD THIS TALE BE ABOUT AMERICA’S FUTURE?
The book is a quick read, and. while it lacks the technical detail of a Clancy story, it provides much of the same intrigue. There is a tiny bit of science fiction, a love interest, much political intrigue, and a surprise ending.
