More Sillly Sense vs. Common Sense from Rube
Howdy Folks. It’s me agin, Rube. I thought a somethin’ else I wanted say about us Americans and silly sense, so I asked Will if’n he would post another short comment for me on this blog. He said he would, so here it is. It’s about them there young whippersnappers (an’ some not so young) who wears their baseball caps on backwards. What I wanna know is what’s supposed to be so dang “cool” about a wearin’ a baseball cap on backwards? I saw a picture the other day of a guy sittin’ in some bleachers with his baseball cap on backwards, an’ he was a holdin’ his hand up to his forehead a tryin’ ta shade his eyes from the sun. Now, I hope you’ll forgive my ignorance, but I thought that was the reason that bill, or peak, as some folks call it, was put on the cap in the first place; to shade a person’s eyes from the blarin’ sun. Talk about ’bout tradin’ common sense fer silly sense. Oh…well, I guess I’m a gittin’ too old to understan’ this here pop culture. See ya nest time. –Rube Rube image by Lori Corbett – Third Raven design – lcorbett@cableone.net.
